c WORKERS SEE BLANK PROSPECTS FOR THE FUTURE. ALLIED RAIDS MAKING LIFE UNENDURABLE. Times. • (Received 7.40 p.m.) THE HAGCB, Oct. 15. Blank despair describes the German workers' outlook on the future prospects of the country. The workers were widely aware three months ago that Germany could not win, and they are now irresistibly inclined to peace and are ready to overwhelm all obstacles. Pessimism broods over Germany like a thunder cloud. The people on the western frontier are angrily asking, why the Government does not conclude peace, as they see in this the only way to stop the raids which are making life unendurable to them.
