THANKSGIVING SERVICES.
PROPOSAL FOR SUNDAY NEXT.
The heads of the various Churches in Auckland have been invited by the deputyMayor, Mr. A. J. Entrican, in terms of the Acting-Prime Minister's telegram, published in yesterday's- Hebald, to arrange for the holding of special thanksgiving services on Sunday next, In connection with the Bulgarian surrender. Mr. Entrican also appeals to the citizens' to show their appreciation of the efforts of the allied armies by attending the services. The secretary of the Auckland Education Board has received a telegram from the Minister for Education, requesting that a holiday be granted to all school children on Monday > to mark the- recent successes of Great Britain and her allies. \ GATHERINGS IN OHEISTCHUROH.
