The Hague correspondent of the Daily' News states on the authority of a well-known diplomatic source that the German Government now realises the imperative importance of securing peace. A conviction iB spreading in favour of a formal declaration, embodying Mr. Woodrow Wilson's proposals. This does not mean that certain action will be taken immediately, owing to military and diplomatic circle;) still being determined to fight on. The Berlin Vo9sische Zeitung understands that von, Hertling, the Imperial Chancellor, and von Hintze, the Foreign Minister, have tendered their resignations. The Kaiser has accepted von Hertling's resignation. Australian and N.Z. (Reoeived 7.45 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 30. Reports from Amsterdam state that the Majority Parties in the Reichstag have agreed to the necessity for Parliamentary Government.
