BOOTY INCREASING.

FRENCH-AMERICAN PROGRESS.

' LONDON. Sept. 14. The correspondent' of the Times at American headquarters says that intense air-bombing interferes with the enemy digging in beyond St. Mihiel. The German airmen have been greatly multiplied, but they are insufficient to check the French-American force. The American Liberty motor, which had its first trial in a large-scale battle, proved a tremendous success.

Reuter's Paris correspondent states that the French correspondents emphasise the cleverness of the Americans in hustling the Germans so that the latter were compelled hastily to begin removing their artillery, leaving the infantry uncovered and subjected to a hail of fire from our advancing batteries; but despite the elaborate German precautions the American booty and guns are steadily increasing.
