A correction to the casualty list issued on September 21 states that Sergeant H. L. Coat was killed in action on August 26, not on September 16. Advice has been received from the Im» perial authorities by the Director of Base Records, Wellington, that Second-Lieu-tenant F. J. Fitigerald, who, was attached to the North Lancashire Regiment, was admitted to the Bth General Hospital, Rouen, France, on September 17, suffering from-a slight gunshot wound in the face. The next-of-kin, as stated in the cablegram, is Mrs. Fitzgerald, King Country, out owing to the address being inadequate the authorities have not been able to communicate with Mrs. Fitzgerald. Advice has been received by Mrs. Florence Gordon, of 7a, Mount Street, that her only son, Private George Gordon, was wounded in France on September 9. He left with the seventeenth reinforcements, and served in the battles of Messines, Passohendaele, and Cambrai. He is a compositor by trade and was formerly at Te Aroha.
