Aug. 21. .The headquarters correspondent of the United Press states: Whether because the men's fighting spirit has gone, or because ' the ; -German High Command is deliberately retiring whenever pushed, the; ' - British are finding on various parts of their line that the Germans give I way with unexpected readiness. "It is like shadow-fighting. A notable -,'example of the German fighting spirit was given .on Sunday night, , 'when: a regiment, having retired too far, was ordered to attack.
