PAYMENT FOR BUTTER-FAT.

FURTHER DISTRIBUTION OF Id. | A FTBTirui distribution of 4d per lb' butter-fat, supplied during the past season ' to its butter factories, was decided upon i at a meeting of the directors of the New ! Zealand Dairy Association, Ltd., yesterday. This decision assumes, and is sub-1 ject to, a further payment on account of profits under the Imperial Government' scheme for the past season of 19s per cwt., less deduction for tho equalisation fund, in respect to local business. The amount due to the association from these profits has been estimated on a j conservative basis, and tho final payment j to suppliers is expected to be somewhat larger than the 4d per lb. Twopence of, the 4d per lb will bo paid early in Sep-' tember, and the balance will, subject to the equalisation, be paid when the present' accumulation of butter has been cleared; and the profit payments from the Govern- i ment are received.
