She is to sail for breymouth to-day at 4 p.m. The Craig steamer Ihumata arrived from Newcastle yesterday afternoon, and berthed at the Central Wharf to discharge her cargo of coal, tar, and hardwood. The produce steamer Te Atiau is due from Oamaru to-morrow morning, and is to berth at the Queen's WharfTHE MONOWAI. After a month's absence from Auckland, the Monowai arrived from Southern ports yesterday afternoon, and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. Her resumption of the passenger ttado will be welcomed by the travelling public, as she is the only vessel now employed m the passenger trade between Auckland and Dunedin. Since last here the Monowai has been thoroughly overhauled and surveyed. The trip from Dunedin was uneventful until reaching Gisborne on Sunday morning. He- passengers were landed and some of tho cargo discharged, but towards midday Iho wind freshened from the south-east and the «ea became rough. The conditions became worse in the afternoon, and cargo operations had to be abandoned. The rough sea prevented further communications with the shore aid the voesf-l left at 3.30 p.m. without iakina f on boar<J the G-isborne passenges and mails. Captain J. M.
