The Kakapo is due from Wc*tport this morning, and is to berth at the Hobson Wharf. The Greyhound is to take up the Mansapai's running for two or three weeks, taking passengers- The Daphne, which is at present in that run. is to enter the Awanui's run. while the Apanui is laid up for her annual overhaul. The Ngatiawa is to sail fo- Opotiki at midnight to-night, instead ci at 8 p.m. the usual hour. The Rimu went on the slip ycsterd.iv for cleaning and painting She is to come off again to-morrow morning, and is to sail at 5 p.m. for Onehunea. via Hokiauga. The Kahiki arrived at Onehunga from Westport yesterday morning. She is to sail this afternoon for West-port direct. Prcbert's Pisco as second officer on the Kowhai. Captain Irwin has taken command of the Mapourika, which is relieving the Pateena in the Nelson-Pic ton service. Mr. J. A. Sliso has signed on the Kowhai as purser. Mr. H. H. Barro has joined ih" Monowai as fourth engineer, and Mr K. M. Moffatt fifth engineer, has gone ashore. .Mr. R. A. Ward has joined a special service ship as chief engineer, relieving Mr. C. C. Anderson, who has come ashore on transfer. Mr. J. Dunlon has joined a special service ship as chief . engineer, relieving Mr. Mudie. v.-ho has come ashore on transfer. . M f- £T. Crawley, of the Union Company's Auckland wharf staff) have purchased a farm at Momnsvule. RMS. NIAGARA. The Royal Mall steamer Niagara is due shout 8 a.m. to-day. She will berth at the Queen's Wharf, and has on board, besides passengers. 2G33 tons of seneral cargo and 211 cases of bananas, for Auckland. R.M.S. MAKURA. The Royal Mail steamer Makura. en route from Sydney to Auckland, is not expected to arrive before to-morrow morning, and she is to berth at the Queen's Wharf.
