LONG UNSETTLED SPELL.
FORECAST BY MR. C. L. WRAGGE.
The. following weather forecast was issued by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7 p.m. yesterday :—
" The new disturbance, which is named Si van, is at last approaching, and the barometer is falling under the penumbra of its eastern side. The high pressure nucleus,, which is breaking up, is between New Plymouth, Greymouth, Cape Campbell, and Dunedin. - Thus the unsettled weather appears to be steadily developing, and the trend of the isobars at present shows that North Auckland will be first affected. Another da& of fair' to cloudy weather is possible, but the change cannot be delayed much longer. Winds between E.S.E. and N.E., soon shifting northerly, and such will be an ominous sign. Sea still smooth to moderate. Finally the reasoning is that a long unsettled spell is highly probable."
