WAR MINISTER'S STATEMENT.

LONDON. April 23. Reuter'3 correspondent at Amsterdam sttaes:—Speaking in the Reichstag on the Army Estimates, the German Minister for War, General von Stein, said that some of the detachments on the west front lost two-thirds of their company leaders The losses were, however, quite normal, and in some cases remarkably small. They wore mainly attributed to infantrv and machine fire, therefore the wounds were slight. A great number of wounded men had already returned to the front.
