MISSIONARY ACTIVITY.

The Auckland branch of the Church Missionary Society will hold its annual celebrations at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, or. Thursday. There will be a service at 5 p.m., at which the Rev. F. C. Long will preach. At 6 p.m. a public tea will take place. The Bishop Of Auckland is to preside at the public meeting. Among the speakers will be Canon Williams vicar of Cambridge, and the Rev. F C* Long, principal of a Church Mission Society school in India. Mr. Long has spent nearly seven years in India. He was stationed in a large school on the wild north-west frontier before entering upon his present work in the Punjaub.
