AUCKLAND LAND BOARD.

AREAS TO BE OPENED. The Auckland Land Board met yesterday, the commissioner, Mr. H. M. Skeet, presiding. Nine applications lor the fee simple were granted. Eleven transfers and subleases were recommended for approval to the Minister for Lands, 13 were approved, three were adjourned, and one was refused. Twenty-three forfeitures were made. It was decided to recommend to I the Minister that sections of land in. the Takahue survey district, and at Papakura Ibe set aside as school sites.
