OBITUARY.
ME. T. R. GILLMAN. One cf Onehunga's oldest residents, Mr, Thomas R. Gillman, died on Sunday. Mr'. Gillman, who was in his 91st year, was the eon of an English Congregational minister, and cams to New Zealand in the ship Annie Wilson in 1863. He settled shortly afterwards In Onehunga, whe-e he practised as 6 chemist until recently. Mr. Gillman was a member of the Masonic Order, and w ad closely associated with the Onehunga Congregational Church since its inception. He was a member of the first Onenuriga Road Board, and it was during his term of office that the first footpath! in Onehunga were constructed and the first —worked by hand—erected at the Onehunga springs, which lire the present source of the borough's water supply. Mr. Gillman leaves a wHow and eight children. There are also 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.'
