MEN WHO HAVE FALLEN.

CORPORAL W. D. EGGLESTON. Corporal William D. Eggleston, killed in action in Francs, was the second son of Mrs. ■J. C. Eggleston, of Seaviow Road, Remuera. He entered caron in the N.C.O. class of the seventeenth reinforcements, leaving New Zealand with tho nineteenth reinforcements, holding the rank of sergeant. 'Corporal Eggloston was for some- tirno musketry instructor at Sling Camp, leaving for Franco last December. Previous to enlistment he was with the Farmers' Union Trading Company, Whangaroi. A younger brother left with the fourteenth reinforcements, and is on active service in Franco. GUNNER R. J. CLARKE. Gunner Ralph "3. Clarke, who was killed in action in France on April 5, whilst serving with ft Now Zealand Trench Mortar Battery, was the only son of Mr. A. G. Clarko, Burleigh Street. He was 26 years of age and enlisted with the 6th Haurakis of the Main Body. He was educated at the Auckland Grammar School, and on leaving that institution studied olectricftl engineering being apprenticed with the Auckland Electric" Tramways Co., Ltd., and afterwards joining the electrical staff of the Waihi Gold Mining Co., Ltd. PRIVATE S. B. DAVISON. Private Septimus B. Davison, who , has been killed in action, was the seventh «m of Mrs. M. A. Davison and the late Mr P Davison, .formerly of Whangaroa and Utukura. He was 36 years of age, and prior to enlisting was engaged in tho sawraUling industry in Tologd Bay, whore he was in nartnership with his younger brother, Private 0. C. Davison, who is now on aotivo service in Franco
