TIME NOT OPPORTUNE. [by telegraph.— CORRESPONDENT. J CAMBRIDGE. Saturday. A rußLic meeting was held on Thursday evening to consider the matter of the proposed Waikato eoldiers' memorial at Hamilton. The scheme was explained by Mr. J. W. Ellis, Mayor of Hamilton, and Messrs. W. Fow and W. Goodfellow. A discussion followed, and finally it was decided that while the meeting was in sympathy with the proposal, the time was not opportune for going on with the matter.
