INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the committee of the Auckland Provincial Industrial Association was held yesterday, the president, Mr. S. J. Harbutt, presiding.' ' The chairman reported, on the proceedings at the conference of industrial associations hold at Wellington recently. The results of the conference, he said, had been highly satisfactory, and the unanimous opinion of the delegates was that steps should be taken to extend the scope and influence of the various industrial associations of the Dominion. The New Zealand Educational Institute sought the co-operation of the association in the advocacy of suggested improvements in, and extension of the educational system. It was decided to urge upon the Government the necessity for action in the matter. It was decided to request the Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Internal Affairs, to deliver an address at the annual meetinj of the association this month.
