BELIEF IN IMMINENCE OF AN ENEMY OFFENSIVE. GREAT MASSING OF TROOPS AND GUNS BEHIND LINES. Auatraltaj and N.Z. (Received 11.5 p.m.). ROME, April 4. Military circles declare that an Austro-German offensive on the Italian front is imminent. Batteries are constantly arriving from the Russian front Enemy troops have been concentrating, especially in the Sugana Valley in the Trentino, for the past two months and generally behind the lines. At least 40 new divisions have arrived. Australian »nd N.Z. and Renter. (Reed. 8.20 p.m.). LONDON, April 3. An Italian official report states: The Italians destroyed outposts in Lagurina Valley and drove back patrols in the Upper Daone Valley at Cortellozzo and an enemy ski-ing party which attacked a post at an altitude of 7500 ft in the Upper Valfurva.
