STOCKBROKERS' APPEAL.
The members of the Auckland Stock Exchange announce in connection with the war loan of £9.600.000 now being placed ton the market by the Minister for finance that they will receive applications, on behalf of the Treasury, for debentures, inscribed stock, and war certificates without any charge to the buyers. The brokers, m making an appeal to the public for support for the loan, point, out that on a population basis the least that can be expected of Auckland is to subscribe a minimum of £2.500,003. In order to maintain Auckland's record in respect to previous loans an amount -of over £3.000,000 will be re- . quired to be raised in the city and district. ' The names and addresses of brokers, from whom full information regarding the de- ' tails of the loan and the various alterna- ' tive ways of subscribing to it may be ohI tained, are published elsewhere in this J issue of the Heuald.
