A report from Egyptian headquarters, dated Tuesday, states: Severe fighting has occurred in the vicinity of Wadi Sukerier, 22 miles c °rth of Gaza, since yesterday, the enemy rearguard putting up a desperate resistance, and fighting along a considerable front. AccordMi? to latest reports our men made an important advance, bringing \ , them within seven miles of Ramleh, which is the centre of the Turkish Position, 37 miles north of Gaza. Our left pushed across the Wadi Ruhira, occupying the important hamlet of Yanileh, and reached JSg Kubeibeth. The Turks are offering a stubborn resistance on the ) front attacked by our right and centre, which nevertheless gained considerable ground.
