ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED.
CEREMONY AT NORTHCOTE.
A handsome roll of honour bearing the names of men from the district who have served the Empire in tho great war was unveiled in the Northcote Borough Council Chambers on Saturday night. The ceremony was perform-*! by- Mrs. M. Nicholson, whose live sons enlisted, three being at present on active service and two having returned invalided. The roll contains the names of 164 men who volunteered and of three mine--. Oi the soldiers, 21 have been killed ii action, as follow: — C C. Adams. \V Bovd, J. 13. Cairnie. D. P. Campbell, J R Clark, L. C. Clark, J, G. Hatrick, S. W Bardie, J. N. Haves, H. W. Haves, J. 0. Jackson, H. J. Mulhern, L. A. O'Learv. P. Ravenhill, H. B. Randrup, E. Bice. S. E. Thomas, H. L. Trotman, M. Vipoud, E. Hatrick, and J. T. Robinson.
Addresses were given by the Mayor, Mr. J. B. Tonar, .vao presided, the Revs. J. Lawrence Greer. 0, Y. Roby, and S. F. Prior, Messrs. H. Subbing, B. Van Veen, G. Fraser, H. Cadness, A. E. Greenslade, and E. Stilwell. The Northcote boy scouts sa'uted hie roll of honour, and the " Last Post" was sounded by Trumpeters R. Davidson and R. Goodson.
