DOMESTIC SCIENCE.

Recommendation's by the board of Education regarding domestic science training formed the subject of a letter received from tho Education -Department by the board yesterday. The -Department endorsed and commended the general principles involved in tho recommendations, and expressed satisfaction at the board's evident interest in, and consideration of, what it termed "this most important part of the education of girls." The letter concluded by stating that it was not possible, at present, to give a definite reply to each of the board's-recommendations, but as some of them were in line with provisions that; had /already been considered by the Department, it was hoped that it would shortly be possible to forward a specific reply to each suggestion.
