MARRIED MEN'S CALL.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION'.] ■WELLINGTON, Wednesday. I The first ballot of the Second Division is fixed for October 29, and the names will bo gazetted about November 6. As the result of inquiries made by the Government statistician regarding doubti ful cases of the status of reservists originally placed in Class A, the number of men now ascertained to be in that category is 15,292. In addition, since the last ballot was taken there have been accretions of 1274 men from the First Division through men coming of age, etc. These latter will not be balloted for, hut will be called up in the Gazette en bloc. It is estiI mated that with further accretions of First I Division men during tho next two months i that Class A will provide sufficient men for three ballots. The first ballot for j Class B should thus take place towards j the close of January. The Minister for I Defence has already announced that the ! first draft of Glass A men will probably I mobilise in March next.
