HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. [bt tblegkath.—press association.] WELLINGTON, Monday. The High Commissioner's market report, dated London, .October 13, is as follows, the quotations unless otherwise specified being average" market prices on spot: — Meat: Home-killed mutton and .beef are in fair supply. Small supplies of Dutch, mutton and beef; chilled at the market during this week, are selling at comparatively low prices, mutton being B|d and Hid, and beef, which was of very low duality,. 6d. All descriptions of frozen meat are in small supply. New Zealand mutton is quoted at 8!d. ewe mutton BJd. Argentine mutton, llid. New Zealand lamb. lOd. Argentine lamb. Hid; Patagonian, lOd. Argentine chilled beef, hinds lljd, fores Old. Butter is very scarce, and there, are no official quotations with' the exception of: Paris, 280s to 2355; Argentine, 2065. The maximum prices remain unchanged with the exception of Irish creamery, which is 224s for bulk, and rising as high as 242s 8d for half-pound packets. Cheese: The market continues firm. New Zealand. States flats, and Australian, are selling at the Government price. English Cheddar is Quoted at 1375. . Hemp: Tho market remains as was last reported. In New Zealand little business is bung dono on account of the freight dim culty. The output from Manila for the Uo weeks ending October 6, was 40,000 bales. Wheat: The market is steady at previous Oats Tho spot markot is steady at official quotations.
LONDON TALLOW MARKET. The New Zealand : Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited., has received the following cablegram from its London house under date October 10:— , , "Tallow.
