At Palmerston North or. September 27 Messrs. Abraham and Williams. Ltd., report having had a fair entry of cattle and sheep. There was a good attendance and demand. Sheep aold well, at prices whicl showed an improvement. Store and dury cattle were in good demand, while good conditioned young stock also sold well. Practically the whole yarding changed hands atthe following rates:— ewes and lambs, 375; failing mouth owes and lambs, 23b Id to 27b 6d; small mixed hoggets. 26s 2d; cull hoggets, 17s 7d; cull ewes, 7s 6d to 12s 6d; forward cows, £10 10s to £11 183 6d; store cows, £7 Ea to £8 lb: cows and hcifors and calves, £6 7s to £10 Is; three-year-old springing heifers, good, £14 2s Gd to £1-1 5s ; calved dairy heifers, good. £11 15s to £12; dairy cows, £10 10s to £13; yearling heifers, good, £5 to £5 17s 6d; bad coloured yearling steers £4 Bs. At Feilding on September 28 there was a strong demand for all classes of stock, and prices had a tendency to harden. There was a good entry of cattle, practically tho whole of which changed hands. Sheen, mostly hoggets, were yarded in fair numbers, and all sold at advanced rates.
