JOINT COMMITTEE'S DECISIONS.
The Joint Committee of tie Auckland centre of the New Zealand branch of the British R«d Cross and of the Order of St. John met yesterday, the Mayor presiding. The future policy of the organisation was discussed. It was decided to confirm the arrangements now existing with the Victoria League and the Auckland Women's Patriotic League and their branches, and that thoro be reappointed sub-committees wherever such are at present established. Correspondence was received from Bombay, India, acknowledging the contribution sent for Mesopotamia. The Joint Committeo acceded to the request of the Bombay Committee in respect to the supply of winter clothing for men at the Mesopptamian theatre of war, and referred the matter to the Depot Committee. Acknowledgment was reived from Major Greene, of the New Zealand Headquarters Gift Centre, of goods sent Home. Major Greene stated that the present method of consigning wa.'! the best way to have goods distributed either in Britain or France. Notification was received that the Gov-ernor-General had called a meeting of the New Zealand Executive Committee to bo held at Wellington on Wednesday next. The secretary's appointment as the Auckland representative on the New Zealand Executive was confirmed.
