1 _ ♦— ■ Kvrakpi: A further 7ft has been driven on Ross's reef. The reef runs in firm country, and carina favourable minerals. Tairua Broken Hills: N0a..3 ana 4 stapes art producing a fair quantity of crushirtfi material. Mho silica vein has beeri penetrated, and the rock is now firmer than that hitherto encountered. Waihi Extended: The shaft has been overhauled, and the laying of rails m J>o. 7 level chamber has been, begun. I Waiotahi: Stopics on, the small leader below the surface level has been continued, and good dabs of sold have been seen. Golden Belt: Quartz broken from the reef in No. 1 level has been saved lor treatment. A surface drive to cut the rise above the stopes has been commenced. Kuranui: A drive to intersect Boss s reef has been started. The country surrounding the Moanataiari slide is heavily mineralised. Occidental: A stood quantity of oro showing gold has been broken. The reef above the intermediate drive in the north end looks favourable, and a few dabs of gold wore picked out from the general ore. The crushing of 70 loads of general oro will be commenced next week. Sylvia, Beefs Ltd : A crosscut has been commenced in the banginewall country, and thcro is a strong flow of water, from this face. A. fair amount of ore is being woe from the reef in th° south end. Tainia Broken Hills: The load in the stopo goihtr north has a favourable appearance, but the blue sulphide streak is stowinn smaller. This mineral, however, is in fairly large Quantities in No. 1 stone, going sou til.
