TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB, NEW COURSE COMPLETED. The animal meeting of tho Takapun* Jockey Club was hold yesterday. Mr. .E. W. Alison presiding. * The report stated that during the year two meetings, comprising iour days' racing, were held. The total stakes paid amounted to £7SSO. The work of extension of the club's racecourse had been successfully carried out. and it was anticipated that the course would be read} for the Spring Meeting. The undertaking had been costly, but the committee was confident that the results would prove that the expediture was justified. The new course was over a mile in circumference, and at no part less than 66ft in width. The, balance-shoot showed that the total receipts for the year were £19,206, and the expenditure £18,297. leaving a surplus of £909. The club's indebtedness had increased, the total liabilities on July 31 last amounting, to £19,281. The chairman said that the land acquired to make the alterations to the course had cost £6200, and tho cost of tho work was A motion by tho chairman, bringing the rules of the club in regard to the admission of undesirables to tho club's course into conformity with the Gaming Act. was adopted. A sub-committee, comprising Messrs. E. W. Alison. J. Mays, and W. J. Ralph was appointed to report as to the advisability of Incorporating the club under the Incorporated Societies Act. \<tHl.
