ALLEGED DESERTER.
[BY TELEGRAPH,— CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. A man named Ernest Crawford, alleged to be a military deserter, was arrested near To Kuiti by Constable McGregor, of Mokau, and brought to Hamilton. It is alleged that he was called to proceed to camp on August 23, but failed to do so. The prisoner will be handed over to 1b.9 military authorities.
