15,000 NAMES TO BE DRAWN-

TOTAL SHORTAGE OF 3731. [BT TELEGRAPH. TRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. The drawing of the tenth military service ballot to complete the shortages in the -fourth and thirty-fifth reinforcement drafts was started to-day. About 15,000 names will be drawn, leaving about 8000 from which to secure the thirty-sixth draft. For the thirty-fourth draft the quota was 2308, and 784 voluntary recruits were passed as fit, leaving a national shortage of 1524. For the thirty, fifth draft the quota was 2350, and 143 men volunteered, leaving a shortage of 2207.
