Tho Kamona is to load a cargo at Wcstport for Auckland this week. Part of her cargo will be discharged at the King's Wharf. « THE POHERUA. The Poherua is booked to load a full cargo of chaff at Picton for Onehunga on. Friday. RICHARDSON STEAMERS. The Mako is due to-night from Napier, via East Coast bays. She is timed to sail again for the bays on Friday evening. Tho Awahou will not reach Auckland from the coast until Saturday morning, and will sail on the return trip on Monday.

COAL-WORKING BY ELECTRIC LIGHT. The hulk Prince of Wales, belonging to the Blackball Coal Company, has been fitted with electric light to facilitate coaling at nighttime. It is now 18 months since the com pany's hulk Blackwall was fitted with a steam generating plant, which proved bo satisfactory that the company decided to equip its other vessel with electric light.
