DEATH OF LIEUT. DUTHIE-

THREE BROTHERS STILL SERVING.

Lieutenant Keith Duthie, who has been killed in action, was the youngest son of Mr. D. W. Duthie, general manager of the National Bank of Now Zealand, and formerly manager of the Auckland branch. Lieutenant Duthie was educated at King's College and later he studied law at the Auckland University. He left with the Rifle Brigade and was promoted recently on the field. He was a keen sportsman, having won the singles tennis championship of the University of New Zealand. He was only 23 years old. Mr. D. W. Duthie has three other sons on military service. AdjutantCaptain Norman Duthie is serving in ranee, and his brother, Alan Duthie, is at, present in training at Trentham. The third brother, Hugh, is on the military staff at Singapore.

THREE SOLDIER BROTHERS.

Lieutenant A. S. Thompson, who has been killed in action, was the youngest son of Mr. A. S. Thompson, of Pakuranga. president of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association. He was one of three sons of Mr. Thompson who went to the front. One of the two surviving l brothers has been wounded and has returned to duty. A fourth brother is engaged on war work The genera] committee of the A. a " d . P. Association on meeting yesterday adjourned as a mark of respect to the late Lieutenant Thompson, after gassing a resolution expressing con.dolence with his relatives and appreciation of the part that members of the family have taken in the war. y
