THE RUGBY GAME.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE,
The weekly moetin K of the Auckland Rugby Union Executive was held in the Amateur bporta Club rooms last evening, there being present: Messrs - F. J- Ohlson, chairman. i. McElwain. P. Mackie. A. Twiname. A. D. Bines. H. Frost. J. H. Pagni, H. T. Revel I, Geo. Nicholson. The. Hamilton Rugby Union asked if it would be possible for the Auckland representative team to play the Hamilton representatives either on the way down or return trom Wellington. The matter was deferred in the meantime. . A letter was received from Colonel Plugge in reference to the action of the New Zealand Union in refusing permission to the -Now Zealand Divisional Rugby team on active servicp to take part in a match against the Army Service team, under their auspices. Alter discussion it was decided to write to the New Zealand Union asking for particulars of this matter. A member of the Marist Brothers third grade team, previously suspended pending his -appearance before the committee to answer a charge of misconduct in tho match with Normal School Old Boys, was ordered to stand down for on© playing Saturday. It was decided to have a third round in the third grade competition. A sub-committee, consisting of the chairman, secretary, and Mr. Mackie, was appointed to deal with details in connection with tho suggested Grammar School -Te Ante match, with power to act.
