HINDENBURG DIRECTING THE ENEMY IN GALICIA.
REINFORCEMENTS POURED THROUGH SOUTH GERMANY
GENERAL'S RELATIONS WITH THE CHANCELLOR STRAINED. Australian and N.Z. Cable. (Received 11.30 p.m.) EOM E, July 11 Advices from Berne show that at the outset of the Russian offensive General Hmdenburg rushed and took personal charge of the situation in Gahcia. He ordered reinforcements, which have been unceasingly poured through Southern Germany. General Hindenburg's relations with the Chancellor are described as being strained. A violent altercation took place lately. General Hindenburg taunted Dr. Bethmann-Hollweg with clumsy diplomacy, in forcing America into the war- The Chancellor retorted that General Hmdenburg had utterly failed to achieve the great military victory in France which he promised.
