POLICE COURT NEWS.

A short list of cases was dealt with by Mr. F. V. Frazer, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. James E. Minnis was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment, for committing a breach of the terms of his prohibition'order. A second offender for drunkenness, Alexander Maitland, was fined 10s and costs, in default 48 hours' imprisonment. A first offender for drunkenness was dealt with.

For driving at night with insufficient lights, J. B. Gilmour and W. V. Podger were each fined 5s and 7s costs. Percy Lupton was ordered to pay £2 2s costs for permitting his horses to wander on the roads at Point Chevalier.
