[bt telegraph.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHTJRCH. Wednesday. Prior to the conference of trade unions at Wellington last week a meeting was held of representatives of all federations of workers engaged in the transport in-mi.-try. These included the Waterside Workers federation, the Tramwav Employees Federation, the Seamen's Federation. and the Amalgamated Socio v ,- Railway Servants. It was decided to form a Transport Workers Ad.'.so-v Boaid. for the purpose of securing common action. The Waterside Workers, Drivers and Tramway Federations have affiliated with the hoard, and the matter it is understood, is being considered by trie railwayman and seamen.
