ONEHUNGA BOROUGH.
The Onehunga Borough Council met last 1 night. Present: The Mayor, Mr. J. ~ J»#|l Boyd, and Messrs. H. J. Davies, E. J., Hoggins, W. J. Brewin, I. Lomas Gflp Foote, B. Dillicar, and J". The council recorded its opinion that the original 11 agreement on this question had been M broken by the Eoad Board, and, there- M fore, was no longer binding on the"! council. s| A motion of condolence with Mr. and ; fi Mrs. G. Vause and Mrs. Duffy, whose sons have been killed recently in France, . was carried in silence. fp Mr. Diliicar was appointed representa- 1 tive of the council on the Auckland Bail- - ways League, vice Mr. E. V. Sutherland. H Ihe _ chairman of the Onehunga School 11 Committee laid before the council a pro- : -posal to establish a technical school at the I Koyal Oak, owing to the distance pupils W have to travel either to Nevrmarket oril Utahuhu. He also appealed for financial assistance. It was decided to consider the .1matter m committee.
