Prior to '■■ joining the Hawera Star Mr. Christie was- •■ editor of the Ashburton Guardian, and 11 previous to that he was on the literary M staff of the North Otago Times. Apart — from his journalistic work Mr. Christie published several books of poems and % essays. ._J
