A report from Sir Douglas Haig states : During June we captured 8688 Germans, including 175 officers 67 guns and howitzers, including two heavy guns; 102 trench mortars, 335 machine-guns, and great quantities of other material. The British offensive began on April 9. Tho following table shows the captures in prisoners and guns during the three months :— Prisoners (officers). Guns (heavy).
