GEEYMOUTH, Wednesday. The miners at tho State, Blackball, and IV'n coalmines ceased work to-day. The linn.iter miners are at work as usual.
It is reported that the State miners, at a meeting this morning, decided not to 1 etui n to work. The indications point to the fitlike becoming general. What the State miners decide the Blackball and Roa men will probably follow. A leading member of the union has left for W'estpnrt. Another reliable authority states tint the men now added to their cause for Mriking the decision of the Court of Appeal in regard to the cases of Robert Semple and others. WESTPORT MINES WORKING. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] WESTPORT. Wednesday. The miners in this district are working as usual. WORK AT HUNTLY CONTINUED. UNION' MEETING CONVENED. [NY TELEGRAPH. — CORRESPONDENT. HUNTLY, Wednesday. The miners all proceeded to work to-day and the township is very quiet. A meeting of miners will be held to night. A notice was posted at the pithead this I morning convening the meeting for important business" and was signed "R. L. Roberts, acting-secretary." The general view in tho town is that work will proceed as usual.
