SHEEP IN POVERTY BAY.
Lambs in tho Poverty Bay district are reported to'be somewhat below the average quality this season, owing to the continued wet weather. On the other hand, fat sheep are said to bo better than usual! and one man in a.position to judge states that he has never seen such good sheetgoing through the works. It was entirelv the nature of the season that had affected the lambs, and it was predicted that the same cause would hare some effect on the next 'ambing season.
