TRUSTEE BOARD FOR MATAMATA. \ The organisation of tho trustee boards for ! the Auckland district nndor tho National i Efficiency Board is being pushed forward | by Mr. A. W. Gillies, tho local expert adviser. A new trustees' board is being! set Tip for tho Matamata district. It was ' intended to place Matamata under tho i To Aroha board. As, however, that would I have made (ho To Aroha district exces- ' sively largo, a separate board has been I decided upon, which will also have jurisdiction at Putararu. Evidence was taken yesterday by Mr. J H. Gunson, sitting as the local member o- the National Efficiency Board, on certain questions which are under tho consideration of tho board. These I questions related to several industries' which have been classified as most esscntion in the board's report to tho Government, the nature of which, however, the central authorities have not yet disclosed. After taking evidence in Auckland on rucsday, as National Efficiency Commissioner for tho province, in regard to tho piostion of continuance of racing, picturo 'hows, theatres, and agricultural shows, «r. J, H. Gunson will hold further sit-' ' ings for tho same purpose at Hamilton m April 10, Te Aroha on April 13, and rVhangarei on April 16, ■
