YACHTING.

COMBINED CRUISING RACE. Final arrangements in connection with tho yacht and launch cruising race of the Ponsonby and Richmond Clubs combined, to bo run to Awaroa Bay, Waiheke, tomorrow, were concluded at a well-attended meeting of the former club, last night. Great interest is being taken in the event, about 20 yachts and launches having entered. In addition, a' large number of friends of the clubs will accompany tho race in other boats and take part in tho social at Awaroa Bay in the evening. The yachts will start between the steamer Baden-Powell . and a launch which will act as flagship at half-past two o'clock, and the launches at twenty _ minutes to three o'clock. The course will bo direct to Awaroa Bay outside the Frown's Island b-iaoon, finishing between tho mark Boar and the wharf.
