At the last meeting of the Otago Land Board a memorandum on the subject of land for soldiers was received from the Under Secretary for Land.,, and as a resuit the following resolution was passed: I flat the board is quite in accord with the administrative, policy of. the Acting Minister for Lands, and that all runs declared to be capable of sub-division small, before the expiration of the term of their current leases, be offered on temporary lease to the present lessees until the termination of tho war, and that no lauds suitable for separate occupation shall be opened for genera! occupation unless for very special reasons until the end of the war,"
