IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
THE IRISH PROBLEM. OPINION OF DELEGATES. (Received 1.25 a.m.). United Service. LONDON, March 23. The members of Uk Imperial War Conference had luncheon w.th the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace. Mr. W. F. Massey states that tho conference is discussing the immediate conduct of the war and the questions of food and shipping. It is laying the foundations of a great conference after the war on post-war problems, including the administration of the German colonies and Imperial trade. The subject of Ireland has not yet been mentioned. He expressed the hope that it would not be referred to the Dominions because it would drag Irelai d into the Dominions' politics, and would mean a lengthy visit of investigation to Ireland. Sir Joseph Ward states that the majority of the delegates to the conference are in favour of the Dominions arbitrating regarding Ireland, but the subject ij not likely to b.i discussed, as the conference will - end in April.
