MR. WILSON WANTS AN ARMY OF 250,000.
Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. WASHING-TON. March 28. The President is considering a scheme of universal military training, but believes the country will not welcome it, and therefore may recommend to Congress the recruitment of the army to 250,000, or of the militia to full strength, or the raising of a volunteer army of 250,000. Nine States have been ordered to mobilise their militia in order to prevent outrages by Germans. ■» (Received 11.10 p.m.) , - LONDON, March 26. The Prussian Minister for War, General von Stein, says American intervention does not trouble Germany, because an American Continental army is impossible. ■ i '. •
