DAYLIGHT SAVING.
BRITISH APPROVE, Times LONDON. March 6. The Summer Time Committee re- , commends the permanent adoption of the daylight saving system, which, it says, has conferred great social and economic benefits. The moral tone of the community has improved, owing to the. tendency to spend the extra hour in the open air. There is a marked decrease in juvenile offences, and the vast preponderance of public opinion favours the daylight saving system being made permanent.
