March 6. ; It is semi-officially announced that . the Militia Act will be enforced in I April to call out 50,000 unmarried i. men between the ages of 20 and 47. ' i The apportionment proposed will 1 have regard to what the various provinces have contributed by i voluntary enlistment. , i The first 50,000 will be trained for , eighteen months, and are subject to service overseas if the war con- , tinues.
