SUCCESSFUL RAIDS BY BRITISH AND FRENCH.

LONDON. March 3.

A French communique states:—" Wo made several successful raids on tho German trenches near Moulin Sous Touvent, and cast of Hill 30-1, north of Verdun, and in the forest of Apremont. Wfl brought back prisoners and material. We successfully bombarded enemy organisations north of the Aisne, and on the left bank of the River Mouse."

An earlier French communique states:—" Wo repulsed two German raids west of Soissons, and raided German trenches near Vauqois." Sir Douglas Haig reports:—"We raided trenches in the neighbourhood of Loos." A German communique states: "Wo repulsed strong English ; detachments east and south-east of Souchez. There have been many encounters in the Ancre region."
