YOUTHS ON PROBATION.
SITTING OF JUVENILE COURT. [ A BOY 13 years of ago appeared before ; Mr. F. V. Frazer, S.M., at tho Juvenile , Court on Saturday morning charged with , stealing 22b 9d from a house in Eden Ter- - race. The probation officer's report was i to the effect that the youth's home sur- : foundings were good, but ho had been 1 i allowed too much freedom, and permitted | I to go rather frequently to picture shows. 3' Th magistrate severely admonished the 1 boy and formally committed him to Were- > roa Training Farm, but he was to bo ' allowed to remain at homo on probation ' so long as he obeyed tho probation offir cer's instructions. Restrictions placed on > his movements forbid his attending pic--5 ture shows and going out at nights. ' A lad, of 15 years, was charged * ith ! acting in a disorderly manner in Myers 1 Park, and behaving impudently towards , the wifo of the caretaker. The youth was put on a short term of probation, entailing an occasional visit to the probation officer, and was ordered to pay 7s costs of the proceedings.
